Aloha! I’m on vacation this week, soaking up some much needed sunshine in Honolulu. I wish I could have packed you guys in my bag (just think of what an epic beach party that would be), but they’re really cracking down on those weight restrictions. Sunny vacations make my brain all mushy and my mood all fluttery. And, while I can’t share a pina colada with you (actually I can–I’ll wait while you get out the blender), I can share a bit of my current state of mind, which is F-U-N. If the late Fall doldrums have got your firmly in their grasp, take a sec out with me to go on a little mental vacation.

Enjoy your holiday! Today in London was the day I admitted defeat and added another layer of thermal clothing to my cycle gear. Turned out to be a good choice: my fingers nearly froze off inside their gloves and I’m going to be drinking coffee all day just to keep my hands warm.
I’ve spent the time between Christmas and New Year in Hawaii – I hopped around the islands (Oahu, Big Island & Kona) and spent a lot of time lazing on beaches. For me it was magical. If my above anecdote doesn’t make it clear: I’m jealous of you!
Don’t worry Claire, I’ll be joining you back in constant-rain-land soon enough! For now, I’m sending a warm, fragrant breeze your way. And I’ll do some extra serious beach lazing today in your honor. It’s only right ;)
