Is it just me, or has time been flying lately? Just yesterday, I was prepping for the holidays–wrapping presents, planning dinners, stringing (way too many) lights everywhere–and now, here we are, knee deep in Christmas. My family arrived from the states yesterday and I’m looking forward to a whole week of snow and laughter and way too much candy.
I’ll be taking a break from blogging next week, so I want to take a moment to wish you a wonderful Christmas, a belated happy Hanukkah, and a bright and shiny New Year. Stress and overstimulation seem to be a natural byproduct of this crazy time of year. It’s go, go, go, until we feel like we’re going to hyperventilate if we set foot in one more store. But then this magical day arrives when we all get to sit around in our pyjamas, eating chocolate and sharing happy memories. We can finally exhale. Whether you’re spending time with your cat, your children or your crazy Aunt Bee, I hope the last few days of 2012 are filled with just the right combination of fun and restoration.

The Pig sends you tidings of comfort and joy. And a hot toddy.
I also want to say thanks–for reading, commenting, supporting and participating in this little adventure I call Truth and Cake. You guys are such a wonderful part of my life and I so appreciate every idea you share here. I’m sending virtual holiday cake (the good kind, not the fruit kind) your way.
Merry, Merry! I’ll see you soon!
